Military Relocation & PCS Support
Orders bring a new assignment—and a lot of decisions. Leverage Realty Team helps military families plan a home purchase or sale around their relocation timeline, budget, and day-to-day needs.
Tom Busciglio is a retired Navy veteran with 23 years of service. Alongside Kimberly, he leads our veteran-owned team through Howard Hanna’s Great Bridge office. That personal understanding of military life shapes the way we support families through Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves.
Plan Your PCS MovePlan a PCS home search around your next duty station
A home in Chesapeake, Norfolk or Virginia Beach can offer very different daily routes. Start with your actual installation and work location, then compare homes against your budget, arrival date and preferred commute. Our Hampton Roads military installation guide and local community guides can help you organize that comparison.
Your military relocation checklist
- Set your timeline. Share your anticipated arrival, departure and housing dates so we can plan showings and a realistic purchase or sale schedule.
- Compare the complete housing budget. Review mortgage payments, taxes, insurance, association fees and maintenance alongside your own budget.
- Discuss financing before touring. Ask your lender to compare the loan options available to you. Our home financing guide explains the questions to bring to that conversation, including VA financing.
- Review each home carefully. Use inspection resources, property-specific flood and insurance research and a condo/HOA checklist where relevant.
- Coordinate closing and your move. Review the sample buyer timeline or seller timeline, then use the local utility contact guide to prepare for possession.
